Teddy Johnson has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute, College of Art, a Master of Fine Arts from The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, and studied for two semesters in Cortona, Italy. His paintings play with the traditions of Western art to explore storytelling, history and culture. Fourteen of his paintings were exhibited at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley through January 2014. His paintings have been featured in the Korean magazine Art People as well as Urbanite and Baltimore Style Magazine. He has had solo shows in Maryland, Virginia, Georgia and New York City. His work also has been exhibited internationally in Italy and in Korea. Johnson has curated shows in Baltimore and Brooklyn, N.Y., with the Rotating History Project, which he co-founded with Heather Rounds in 2010. Their most recent partnership with the Clermont Foundation and The Virginia Department of Historic Resources, "The Clermont Forum II," debuted in spring 2014 in Clarke County, Va. A Virginia native, he is based in Baltimore.
