Below you will find the most recent updates regarding AACC's response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

The national public health emergency ended May 11. As a result, effective July 1, the college is updating its COVID-19 policy and will no longer require COVID reporting as per the CDC guidelines.

These updates include:

  • We no longer require the reporting of COVID-19 cases to COVID Safety.
  • COVID Safety will no longer actively manage COVID-19 cases.
  • Dedicated email addresses for COVID reporting will no longer be used.

The Health and Wellness Center remains available for assistance: [email protected]. The center will be available to assist during the regular in-person business hours Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and virtual hours Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following provides a quick guide to the changes:

If you test positive for COVID:

  • No reporting to COVID Safety is required.
  • It is recommended that you stay home for at least five days and isolate yourself from others.

If you have COVID-like symptoms:

  • No reporting to COVID Safety is required.
  • It is recommended that you test immediately. If your test is negative, a well-fitted face covering is recommended on campus until you are symptom-free.
  • If symptoms persist after day 11 days, it is recommended that you contact your medical provider for guidance.

If you have been exposed to someone with COVID:

  • No reporting to COVID Safety
  • No need to quarantine
