Below you will find the most recent updates regarding AACC's response to the COVID-19 pandemic:
The national public health emergency ended May 11. As a result, effective July 1, the college is updating its COVID-19 policy and will no longer require COVID reporting as per the CDC guidelines.
These updates include:
- We no longer require the reporting of COVID-19 cases to COVID Safety.
- COVID Safety will no longer actively manage COVID-19 cases.
- Dedicated email addresses for COVID reporting will no longer be used.
The Health and Wellness Center remains available for assistance: [email protected]. The center will be available to assist during the regular in-person business hours Mondays through Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and virtual hours Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The following provides a quick guide to the changes:
If you test positive for COVID:
- No reporting to COVID Safety is required.
- It is recommended that you stay home for at least five days and isolate yourself from others.
If you have COVID-like symptoms:
- No reporting to COVID Safety is required.
- It is recommended that you test immediately. If your test is negative, a well-fitted face covering is recommended on campus until you are symptom-free.
- If symptoms persist after day 11 days, it is recommended that you contact your medical provider for guidance.
If you have been exposed to someone with COVID:
- No reporting to COVID Safety
- No need to quarantine
