Anne Arundel Community College is committed to providing and maintaining a safe working, learning and social environment in which employees, students, and participants in college-sponsored programs, and/or individuals present on premises owned, leased, or used by the college can be free from violence or the threat of violence. Workplace violence, in any form, by an employee, student, participant in a college-sponsored program (wherever it is conducted) or an individual present on premises owned, leased, or used by the college is prohibited and shall not be tolerated.  All employees, students, participants in a college-sponsored program, and/or individuals present on premises owned, leased, or used by the college shall, at all times, adhere to this policy and respect others.  
 
To assist in the prevention of workplace violence, with the aim of preventing it from occurring, the President or his/her designee shall develop, implement and maintain an educational and informational program consistent with this policy.   
 
The Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the President, or his/her designee, to develop and establish appropriate procedures to implement and enforce this policy.
