The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a group of standardized tests assessing college-level knowledge in several subject areas.

Many colleges grant credit to students who meet the minimum qualifying score. The tests are useful for students who have obtained knowledge outside the classroom, such as through independent study, job experience or cultural interaction. CLEP offers students the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in subject areas and bypass undergraduate coursework.

What scores does AACC accept

Consult the AACC College Catalog to see how your CLEP scores equate. Contact your AACC advisor prior to registering for a CLEP exam. It is the student’s responsibility to verify that a CLEP exam is accepted at any college or university to which the student is planning to transfer the CLEP scores.

The testing center at AACC in Arnold is offering in-person CLEP testing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Prior to scheduling a testing date, students must purchase their exam voucher from the College Board website. Once the voucher has been purchased, students can schedule their exam with the testing center. Appointments to take your CLEP exam at the testing center can be scheduled online.
